In collaboration with music ensemble a.pe.ri.od.ic and the Arts Club of Chicago we designed the stage setting for a performance of Time with People – an hour-long music and theatre work by British composer Tim Parkinson. Originally conceived as a “sea” of hundreds of found objects of various kinds, we reframed the stage as a set of 35 sculptural assemblages created using objects donated by members of the Arts Club of Chicago and a.pe.ri.od.ic. The assemblages were intentionally destroyed and their component parts used during the performance. The installation was on view before and after the event.
