Cotton rag paper sheet hand-made at the artist’s studio using the mold and deckle papermaking process. Hand-cast into a latex mold taken from the surface of an Ash tree (Fraxinus) killed by the Emerald Ash Borer Beetle larvae. The indentations in the paper sheet are the channels created by the larvae, which disrupt the tree’s ability to carry nutrients.
Each cotton rag paper sheet is mounted into a 12″ x 12″ frame. Due to the natural process the texture and pattern of each paper square sheet is unique. Each framed paper sheet is certified and signed on reverse of frame.
