The team at HOUR Studio worked with us to shape the new microsite for Future Climate Souvenirs—a playful portal that enables audiences to learn more about each proposed site and link through to the souvenir shop. Their sensitivity to narrative and visual flow helped us translate the worldbuilding behind our fictional tourism bureau into something visitors might wander across online. 

The site opens with an overview of Chicago’s imagined future landscape before inviting visitors to explore individual destinations as souvenirs—from the Deep Dish Lakeshore Biopond to Millennium Marsh Aquatic Reserve. EEach location has its own page with details about the speculative ecology, adaptive infrastructure, and cultural shifts that might shape these places. The souvenir store offers real merchandise from these fictional futures: embroidered patches, caps, and an artist book that visitors can actually purchase and take home. Hovering between tourism brochure and climate speculation, the microsite maintains the project’s tone of hopeful provocation, treating adaptation as something worth visiting and investing in.
